Doncaster Chamber
helps Knockout business get off to a great start
Doncaster Chamber has helped Andrew Crittenden’s
Martial Arts centre get off to a great start.
Andrew attended a four-day training course run by Doncaster
Chamber as part of Business Link South Yorkshire’s
start-up programme.
“After an initial chat to discuss his business idea,
Andrew attended the course which goes through the basics
of setting up a new company,” said Ann Garside,
Business Support Manager with Doncaster Chamber.
“Having opened his Martial Arts Centre last year,
Andrew’s business is really taking off.”
The start-up programme run by Doncaster Chamber is open
to anybody in the Doncaster area who has always dreamed
of running their own business.
“Phoning Doncaster Chamber was the best thing I
could have done to ensure the launch of my new centre
was a success,” said Andrew Crittenden, who is 23
years old and comes from Balby.
“I had run a martial arts centre before, but it
wasn’t my own. The start-up programme was really
useful in terms of finding out the pitfalls of the various
tax regimes a small business has to think about, and going
through the dos and don’ts of running a business.
“I am maintaining a good relationship with Doncaster
Chamber’s Business Support Team as my martial arts
centre grows and expands.” |
